Easter Recipes

I love Easter entertaining – its much more relaxed than Christmas. I often have friends over Good Friday & then family on Easter Sunday where we all take something for a big buffet type feast.

I love nothing more than grabbing a coffee (or a glass of wine) & browsing cook books for some tasty recipes.

Thought I would share a few things that I am making this Easter with you all.

First up is this tasty cake .. it was super simple to make, tasted like Baklava & Hot Crossed buns rolled in to one. I love the fact that it can be made in advance & keeps for a week (I doubt it will last that long though).

I love the thought of a BBQ this Easter if the weather warms up. I have my sights set on these fab kebabs from the Tart girls. I was lucky enough to go to Wild by Tart restaurant in London a month ago & it does not disappoint. I will probably serve these with pitta breads or wraps, some tasty salads & lots of rose wine!

Lamb is always a favourite for lots of people at Easter. I have made this recipe before & its really good. Make sure you get some local British lamb from your butcher – it always tastes amazing!

Lets face it – Easter is also about Chocolate! I love making nests with the girls. We normally use shredded wheat or cornflakes for a real ‘nest’ effect!

I love the beautiful cabbage plate & dish range in stock here at Pop & Flo. The vibrant colours & designs are perfect for setting off all manner of Easter feasts… whether its drinks & nibbles, cake & coffee, chocolate feasts or a salad. I love using them in my own kitchen – they always bring me joy! Plus when they are not in use they make a beautiful decorative piece to treasure forever.
