We have a glut of apples in the garden at the moment – I have been busy collecting them & turning them in to apple puree for the freezer, adding them to plums to make jam & storing them in trays for the winter.
Our favourite way to eat them is in cakes & apple crumbles. I thought I would share this really easy apple cake recipe with you as it was a hit in my house!
Best served warm with ice cream, cream or custard. This cake keeps well in a tin & is also delicious with a cup of tea.
