In April 2019 I planted a seed, I decided to start my own little business, name it after my girls Poppy & Flora & sell accessories that I loved! Things to lift your outfits, finish your look, help you create your own style, presents for the girls in your life & feel good treats. I built my own website, attended pop ups & markets & got a lovely customer base of friends, family & the odd stranger. The seed grew in 2019 & Pop &Flo acquired some leaves & a branch or two.
In April 2020 we found ourselves in a global pandemic …I questioned whether it was right to even sell things online but found that you all still needed the odd treat in the post, a hairband to sort out your lockdown hair or a birthday present to be sent out on your behalf…. another branch grew … & I started posting more & more parcels out to people I had never met before! Always with a handwritten note & and extra treat inside.
In July 2020 I decided to branch out my little tree to homeware….. something I love anyway, colourful, practical, pretty things to cheer up the home or outside area… to lift your dining area if you were allowed guests in to your home or outside… the business grew again!
And here I am now, reflecting on the year …. it has been truly amazing for Pop & Flo. I cannot thank you all enough for your small business support! Your orders, lovely messages, reviews, likes on social media, recommendations to friends & family… my business has grown more than I would have ever thought & I am so grateful to you all for your support!
I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas to you all, I hope that despite all the restrictions you can still enjoy a special time with some family or friends. Here is to 2021… I cannot wait to see what is in store for us all…… it can only get better!
